Helipad to be constructed on Lamma Island
***************************************** The Government plans to construct a helipad with associated emergency vehicular access at Yung Shue Wan, Lamma Island, to cater for emergency needs of the local community after the temporary helipad ceases to operate in 2007.
The works, which will affect about 2,527 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed, are scheduled to commence in April 2006 for completion by July 2007.
A notice describing the extent of area affected is gazetted today (September 23).
The notice, together with a related plan, can be seen on notice boards posted near the site. The plan can also be inspected at the Lands Department Survey and Mapping Office, 23/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road and the Islands District Office, 20/F Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central.
Anyone who considers that he has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved may send a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F North Point Government Offices by November 23, 2005.
