***************************************** Three candidates have been nominated to run in the by-election in the King Tin Constituency of the Kwun Tong District Council. Nominations closed today (September 21).

A briefing for the candidates and their agents will be held at the Kwun Tong District Council Conference Room on Saturday, September 24. The Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission, Mr Justice Woo Kwok-hing, will chair the briefing and introduce the guidelines on election-related activities.
A representative from the Independent Commission Against Corruption will explain the Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Conduct) Ordinance. The Returning Officer and officials of the Registration and Electoral Office, Post Office and Department of Justice will also be present.
The poll will be conducted on Sunday, October 23. The successful candidate will fill a vacant seat of an elected member in the Kwun Tong District Council.
