Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in NP
****************************************************** Police today (September 21) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in which a 20-year-old woman was killed in North Point on September 15.
At about 9.40 pm on September 15, a tram driven by a 31-year-old man was travelling along the westbound tramway of King¡¦s Road. While reaching outside 611 King¡¦s Road, the tram reportedly knocked down a 20-year-old woman who walked out from a tram station.
Sustaining serious injury, the woman was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where she was certified dead at 6.49 pm on September 16.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 3106 8800.
