Members of the public are welcome to visit the horticulture education exhibition featuring the common scented plants of Hong Kong this Sunday (September 25) from 10am to 4pm at the Arcade of Kowloon Park, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Admission is free.
Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the exhibition "Scented Gardens in LCSD Venues" aims to enhance public interest in horticulture and to arouse their awareness of plant conservation and greening in Hong Kong.
The exhibition features five scented gardens, which are located at Shing Mun Valley Park, Lei Yue Mun Park, North District Park, Kowloon Park and Po Hong Park. Through the description on display panels, members of the public can learn about the common species of scented plants in the territory.
Fringe activities include a crossword puzzle, demonstration of the making of recycled paper and a talk entitled "Introduction and Maintenance of Scented Plants". Children can also share the fun of pot planting under the guidance of Green Volunteers and LCSD staff.
