Fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long
*********************************** Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 62-year-old woman was killed in Yuen Long this (September 15) afternoon.
At about 5 pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 29-year-old man and the 62-year-old woman riding on a bicycle were both travelling along Sai Yu Street. The LGV and the bicycle reportedly collided together while turning left onto Kau Yuk Road towards Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where she was certified dead at 6 pm.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact investigating officers at 2675 3325.
