The Hospital Authority (HA) today (September 15) announces the appointment of Dr Luk Che-chung as the Cluster Chief Executive (CCE) of Kowloon East Cluster with effect from September 15, 2005, in addition to his role as the Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of United Christian Hospital.
Working as Executive Manager and then Senior Executive Manager for various divisions at the HA Head Office from 1991 to 1999, Dr Luk was appointed as HCE of Kwong Wah Hospital in December 1999. Starting from April 2001, he also assumed the role of HCE of Wong Tai Sin Hospital, and from August 2003 became Deputy Cluster Chief Executive of Kowloon West Cluster. Dr Luk has earlier been appointed as HCE of UCH since August 15, 2005, following the retirement of Dr Tse Chun-yan.
Dr Luk is very familiar with the operation at the corporate as well as hospital levels and is committed to working closely with the colleagues in the Cluster to meet the health care needs of the community.
