
Appeal for information on body found in Cheung Sha Wan (with

************************************************************ Police are appealing the public for information on a case in which the body of a man was found in Kam Shan Country Park in Cheung Sha Wan yesterday (September 12).
The case came to light shortly after 2 pm yesterday when a staff member of the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department, in response to an odd smell complaint, found the body of a man in the bushes beside a footpath leading to Piper¡¦s Hill near a barbeque site in Kam Shan Country Park.
Police officers arrived at the scene and located the body with no identity document found. Two keys and about $90 were found in the deceased's trousers' pocket.
Post mortem conducted today (September 13) revealed that the man should have died for five to seven days but the cause of death could not be ascertained pending further toxicological examinations.
The deceased, in the age of seventies, was of medium build, about 1.6 meters tall and had a dollar-size polypus in his left buttock. He was wearing a short-sleeve light-coloured shirt, a pair of grey trousers and a pair of blue cloth shoes.
Officers of the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are investigating the case.
