Holiday arrangement for 2005 Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

    The Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, announced today (September 12) that there would be no mail delivery during the coming public holiday on September 19, 2005 (the day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival). All post offices will be closed. However one mail collection would be arranged for all posting boxes except those located on outlying islands and in remote areas.

     Mr Chiang said that next Sunday (September 18, The Mid-Autumn Festival), the General Post Office, the Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office and the Airport Post Office would open for business under the usual Sunday arrangements from 9am to 2pm. However, no mail collection from posting boxes will be provided.
