A new souvenir, the "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank will be added to the existing range of PostShop collectibles on September 12.
The Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, said the coinbank was a special postal souvenir designed and crafted by the reputable pewter giftware manufacturer, Royal Selangor. Replicating the shape of a pillar post box, the coinbank portrays the journey of a letter from writing to posting, collection and delivery, linking the sender with the recipient. With a limited worldwide edition of 1,000 pieces only, each item is serially numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
The "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank will be sold at six PostShop outlets (General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Central, Sha Tin Central, Tsuen Wan and Airport Post Office) at a unit price of $499. Customers can also place mail orders for the new PostShop collectible at all post offices and via the ShopThruPost website of Hongkong Post at www.shopthrupost.hk.
