Vice-President Zeng to visit Hong Kong

    Upon the invitation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Vice-President Zeng Qinghong will visit Hong Kong from September 10 to 12 and officiate at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Disneyland.

     "We are most honoured by the presence of Vice-President Zeng at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Disneyland, which will open up a new horizon for Hong Kong," the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang said.

     "Before taking up his current post, Mr Zeng visited Hong Kong for the reunification ceremony in 1997 and for the celebrations of the first anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification with the Mainland in 1998.  Taking advantage of the coming visit, we will, as far as possible, arrange for him to meet with representatives from various sectors of the community and see the latest developments of Hong Kong," Mr Tsang added.

     The SAR Government is discussing with the Central authorities details of the Vice-President's itinerary in Hong Kong.
