Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident
************************************************ Police appeal to members of the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in which a 70-year-old woman was killed in Sau Mau Ping on August 30.
Shortly before 8.15 am, a taxi driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling along Hiu Kwong Street towards Kwun Tong. When reaching near Hiu Lai Court, it reportedly knocked down the 70-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was rushed to United Christian Hospital where she was certified dead at 2 pm.
Investigations by Special Investigations Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2305 7500.
