Six arrested for wounding in Lei Muk Shue

Police arrested four men and two women aged from 16 to 48 early this morning (September 1) in connection with a wounding case in which a seven-year-old boy was chopped in Lei Muk Shue Estate, Tsuen Wan on August 25.

After extensive investigations, officers of Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South mounted the operation at various locations in Kowloon and the New Territories this morning.  The six arrested persons were believed to include the mastermind, attackers and a taxi driver.

Shortly before 6 pm on August 25, the victim and his 68-year-old grandmother were on their way back to their residence in Lei Muk Shue Estate.  Suddenly two men approached them with one of them chopping the right forearm and right thigh of the victim.

Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South subsequently took up the case for enquiries.  Police investigations revealed that the motive of the attack is related to family problems.  

All the persons, arrested for wounding, are still being detained for further enquiries.
