
Man arrested for murder in Kwai Chung
************************************* Police today (August 31) reclassified the death of a man in Kwai Chung as murder and arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the case.
The case came to light when Police received a report yesterday (August 30) morning that a 44-year-old man was found collapsed in a residential unit in Tai Wo Hau Estate.
He was sent to Yan Chai Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.30am on the same day.
A post-mortem conducted on the man this morning revealed that suspicious circumstances were detected surrounding his death but the cause of his death has yet to be ascertained pending further toxicological examinations.
A 33-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the case was arrested for murder yesterday afternoon.
Investigation revealed that the man had a dispute with the deceased in a restaurant in Tai Wo Hau Estate on the evening of August 29 during which the latter was pushed onto the ground.
The arrested man is being detained for enquiries.
The District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing has taken up the case for investigation.
