Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok
************************************************************ Police today (August 30) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 78-year-old woman was killed in Mong Kok.
Shortly after 2.30 pm on August 22, a public light bus driven by a 44-year-old man was travelling along southbound of Yim Po Fong Street. While making a right turn into Pak Po Street, the vehicle reportedly knocked down the 78-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 12.22 pm on August 24.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Kowloon West are proceeding.
Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact investigating officers at 2773 5220.
