
Recruitment forum offers 2,000 vacancies
**************************************** The Labour Department will stage a recruitment forum at Tuen Mun Town Plaza on Wednesday (August 31), providing about 2,000 vacancies.
Thirty companies from the catering, retail, property management, real estates, banking, business services and aviation related industries will participate in the event.
The vacancies are suitable for job-seekers of different qualifications, work experience and education levels.
The vacancies offered include managerial posts such as shop manager, restaurant manager, management trainee, personnel officer, administrative officer, security officer and shop supervisor; frontline positions such as customer service officer, salesperson, sales representative, restaurant captain, waiter, security guard and estate agent; professional/technical positions such as engineer, graphic designer, technician trainee, chef and carpenter; as well as other vacancies including clerk, accounting clerk, merchandiser, cashier, pantry helper, cleaner, storekeeper and assembler.
About 60% of the vacancies are open to people without relevant experience. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
Most of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $9,000. In addition, special panels will be mounted to display vacancies solicited from other establishments. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration.
The forum will be held from 11am to 6pm at Main Atrium, 1/F, Tuen Mun Town Plaza. Admission is free.
