Appeal for information on wounding in Lei Muk Shue Estate

         Police are appealing for information on the wounding case in which a seven-year-old boy was chopped by two culprits in Lei Muk Shue Estate in Tsuen Wan on August 25.

Shortly before 6 pm on August 25, the victim and his 68-year-old grandmother were on their way back to their residence in Lei Muk Shue Estate. Suddenly two men approached them. One of them pushed the grandmother onto the ground and threatened her at knife point while the other forced the boy onto the ground and chopped his right forearm and right thigh.

The culprits fled in the direction of Wo Yi Hop Road and it is believed they got on a taxi after the attack.

The boy was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital where he is now admitted in stable condition.

Police are wanting two men suspected to be in connection with this case. The two culprits are both of medium built. Aged about 30, one stands about 1.75 metres with brown straight hair. He was seen wearing a dark coloured T-shirt, dark-coloured jeans and light coloured sports shoes.

The other man stands about 1.7 metres with black straight hair. He was seen wearing dark coloured T-shirt and dark coloured jeans. Both of them were each armed with a knife while committing the crime.

Officers of Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are sparing no efforts in tracking down the culprits and the case is under active investigation.

Anyone who had witnessed the case or has information to offer in particular those taxi-drivers who had picked up the culprits is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2631 8437.
