| Running from tomorrow (August 28) until January 2, 2006, at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the "Essence of Purity -- Exhibition to Commemorate the 100th Birthday of Chao Shao-an" features about 120 representative works of Chao Shao-an (1905-1998) created from the 1930s to the 1990s. The works on display cover a rich variety of subject matters, such as flower and birds, grasses and insects, landscapes and animals. Pictured is one of the large-scaled panelled works of Chao "Pine Tree", which was created in 1963. |
