CE officiates at "China Tibetan Culture Week"
welcoming reception

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, this afternoon (July 15) officiated at the welcoming reception of the "Pearl of Snow Plateau ? China Tibetan Culture Week" at the Hong Kong City Hall.

    More than 200 guests were at the reception including the Chairman of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, Qiangba Puncog; Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, Mr Gao Siren; Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, Zhu Weiqun; Deputy Director of the State Council Information Office, Qian Xiaoqian; Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, Li Gang; Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the Hong Kong SAR, Xie Xiaoyan; Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Regional People's Congress, Chamba Kandan; Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Qinhai Provincial Committee, Living Buddha Xi Na; Venerable Kok Kwong; Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho Chi-ping and Director of Hong Kong Wen Wei Po, Zhang Guo Liang.

    Presented by the State Council Information Office, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR and the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, "Pearl of Snow Plateau ? China Tibetan Culture Week" will run until July 21. Activities include "Mysterious Tibet" by Tibet Autonomous Region Song and Dance Troupe, "The Photos, Thangkas and Antiques Exhibition of Tibet", "Buddhist Symposium: Buddhism and the Building of a Harmonic Society" and "Tibetan Buddhist Teachings and Empowerment".
