    The Middle Road Children's Playground is now open to the public, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (May 9).

    Conveniently located on the podium of the KCRC Tsim Sha Tsui East Station, the playground provides a wide range of facilities for the public.

    "Children and adults now have an alternative leisure area in the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui," an LCSD spokesman said.

    The facilities include a Tai Chi area, a sitting-out area, and two standard children's play areas suited to children aged two to five and five to 12 respectively.

    The daily opening hours of the playground are from 7am to 11pm.

    The playground is a re-provision project by the KCRC on the site after the corporation took over the former playground from the LCSD for the East Rail Extension project in 2001.
