Renovation works at Kowloon Public Library start
in May


    Renovation works for the Kowloon Public Library at 5 Pui Ching Road, Kowloon would begin next month (May, 2005) to provide better library facilities and services, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 27).

    The library facilities and environment will be upgraded to include the opening of an Education Resource Centre and the expansion of the existing Computer and Information Centre.

    People are reminded that the affected floors will be temporarily closed while the library services will be maintained at the Extension Activities Room on 8/F. Services at other floors remain unchanged.

    The project will be completed at the end of 2006 by phases.
