The Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, announced today (August 24) that in collaboration with China Post, orders for mooncake gift sets would be accepted from August 24 to September 21 for sending to the Mainland under the Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service.

There will be eight mooncake gift sets, including mooncakes made on the Mainland and in Hong Kong, which are specially selected to cater for the needs of Hong Kong people or companies to send their greetings to their business partners, relatives or friends on the Mainland before the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The gift sets are priced from $138 to $728, inclusive of delivery charges. Customers can place orders for sending these mooncake gift sets to more than 2 000 Mainland cities.

The completed order forms can be handed in at any post office, or by fax or post to Hongkong Post Logistics Centre on or before September 21. Customers can also order on-line at the Hongkong Post website.

All orders will be delivered on or before the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 28.

Hongkong Post and China Post have teamed up to offer the Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service since January 2004, which provides convenience for sending to the Mainland a series of gift sets including Lunar New Year gifts, bouquets, cakes, flower baskets and fruit baskets.
