The Lands Department issued three consents for the sale of 1,292 residential units and one consent for the sale of 40 units in uncompleted commercial development projects in February, a spokesman for the department said today (March 4).
The residential units, located in Kowloon and the New Territories are estimated to be completed between October 2004 and July 2005. The department also issued two consents to assign involving 1,976 residential units in February.
At the end of February 2004, there were 13 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 9,209 residential units pending approval. Among them, six cases involving 3,366 residential units are expected to be completed by December 31, 2004. The remaining five cases involving 5,332 residential units are estimated to be completed by December, 2005 and two cases involving 511 residential units are estimated to be completed by the end of February 2006.
There was one application for pre-sale consent involving commercial units pending approval at end of February 2004. In addition, there were three applications for consent to assign for commercial developments pending approval.
The public can obtain up-to-date information on consents for the sale of units in uncompleted developments and cases pending approval by calling the hotline, 2147-5475, or visiting the Lands Department website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd.
The names of the developer, its parent company (if any), solicitor's firm acting, authorised person (including the name of the firm) and the mortgagee bank (if any) in respect of individual development are also available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the hotline or the Lands Department website.
