Crowd management for Hong Kong Harbour Fest

*******************************************

Police will implement crowd management in the vicinity of the Tamar Site to facilitate Hong Kong Harbour Fest.

The show will be staged on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between October 17 and November 9.

The evening events will be held from 8 pm to 11 pm and the public can enter the venue after 6 pm.

The entrances to the venue are located on Lung Wui Road and Tim Wa Avenue.

The organiser will open the emergency exits to Tim Wa Avenue and Tim Mei Avenue to direct the public to disperse towards Lung Wui Road after the event.

The inner lane of the southbound carriageway of Tim Wa Avenue will be closed for the sake of safety.

As a large number of audience with admission tickets are expected to use the Citic Tower Footbridge to the Tamar Site, the footbridge will be divided into two sections when the situation warrants, whereas the incoming visitors will be directed to use the staircase at the northwest corner of the Citic Tower in a one-way downward flow and outgoing visitors will use the upward escalators from the ground level to the Citic Footbridge for dispersal.

The audience are advised to follow the instructions given by the event organiser outside the main entrance and are reminded to take heed of Police officers at scene.

They are also encouraged to arrive at the venue earlier so as to avoid queuing.
