The Secretary for Justice, Ms Elsie Leung, will attend a seminar on co-operation between Beijing and Hong Kong legal practitioners, scheduled for October 24 in Beijing.

The seminar is part of the 7th Symposium on Economic Co-operation between the two cities.

While in Beijing, Ms Leung will also officiate at the signing ceremony for a Co-operation Agreement between the Department of Justice and the Beijing Bureau of Justice.

Among other things, the Agreement will provide for more exchanges of professional information and training opportunities.

Ms Leung will also meet with officials from the Ministry of Justice and representatives of the Beijing Lawyers' Association before returning to Hong Kong on Sunday (October 26).
