Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui in which a 71-year-old woman was killed this (October 21) morning.

Shortly before 7.30 am, a mud truck travelling along On Fuk Street reportedly knocked down the 71-year-old woman when the vehicle was taking a right turn to Lok Yip Road. The old woman was pulling a wooden trolley along Lok Yip Road when the accident occured.

After the impact, the 71-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and was certified dead at 7.43 am at the scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North are proceeding.
