The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (October 14) pursued three claims in the Small Claims Tribunal, totaling some $66,300 on behalf of five employees, who were owed MPF contributions by their employers.

The defendants were Brilliant Sun Hi-Tech Limited Onrich Investment Limited and Perfect Skill Property Management Company Limited.

The defendant, Perfect Skill Property Management Company Limited pleaded guilty at Kwun Tong Magistracy earlier to a charge of MPF offence and was convicted and fined $8,000.

The above defendants did not appear at today's hearing. In their absence, the Adjudicator ordered them to pay the MPFA the sum of $49,300.57, $11,818.08 and $5,257.54 respectively, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable.

The amounts awarded will be reimbursed to the relevant employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. Amounts of $280, $80 and $250 were also awarded respectively as costs in respect of the claims.
