Following is a statement issued by the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Joseph WP Wong, today (Oct 13) on the death of Mr Colin Sankey, Head of the Efficiency Unit, early this morning:

I am saddened to hear of the death of Mr Colin Sankey, who has served in the Hong Kong Government since 1974. On behalf of the Civil Service, I offer my deepest condolences to his family. The Civil Service Bureau will make every effort to help his family through this difficult time.
