Police are investigating a case this (October 11) afternoon in which a female body was found in the sea off Tap Shek Kok, Castle Peak.

Shortly after 1 pm, a patrolling Police launch found a female body floating in the sea near Tap Shek Kok.

Police officers recovered the naked body and discovered that the body was of about 1.7 metres in height and of medium build. It was believed that the deceased was of 30 to 40 years of age. No identity document or personal properties were found.

Multiple wounds were found on the body. The cause of death of the deceased has yet to be ascertained pending post-mortem examinations to be arranged as soon as possible.

Investigations by Divisional Investigation Team of the Castle Peak Division are proceeding.
