Public urged to keep venues clean during fireworks

The Hong Kong International Musical Fireworks Competition will be held over Victoria Harbour this Sunday (October 12) at 8pm. Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, two teams - Japan and the United States - will compete. The display will run for about 21 minutes.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has urged the public to maintain order and refrain from littering during the display. When leaving, people should take their belongings and not leave trash or newspapers behind. Offenders will be subject to a fixed penalty of $1,500.
