Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident which happened in Lok Ma Chau today (September 11) in which a 27-year-old man was killed.

Initial investigations revealed that a motorcycle driven by the 27-year-old man was travelling along the slip road of San Tin Highway leading to Lok Ma Chau Interchange shortly after 3 pm.

When reaching the access to the interchange, the motorcycle collided with a seven-seater private car following behind.

After the impact, the motocycle sideturned and motocyclist was rolled over and trapped by the private car.

Sustaining serious injuries to his head, the motorcyclist was rushed to Northern District Hospital where he was certified dead at 10 pm this evening.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
