The no. 8 Southwest Gale or Storm Signal has been issued at 10.10 pm last night (September 2) to replace the no. 9 Increasing Gale or Storm Signal.
During the passage of the typhoon, 75 arrival and 76 departure flights were cancelled, while 59 arrival (including five diverted flights) and 56 departure flights were delayed.
On land, MTR only maintains services at Tung Chung Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tseung Kwun O Line and Island Line with 15-minute interval. Services of other lines and sections have already been suspended. KCRC East Rail maintains services of 15-minute interval. Light Rail Transit (LRT) has suspended its service.
Both New World First Bus, KMB and Citybus services have been suspended. Services of peak tram, tram, yellow Bus, and the New Lantao Bus have been suspended. At sea, all ferry services have been suspended.
A report of power failure in Yuen Long has been received and CLP Power is following it up.
A total of 63 cases of fallen trees have been reported up to midnight. There were two minor landslips at Tai O and Stubbs Road in Wan Chai. Five reports of minor flooding in NT North, Tai Po and Yuen Long were received.
The Buildings Department has received 26 emergency calls concerning dangerous signboards, fallen concrete or plaster, as well as fallen glasses. Sixteen cases are being attended.
Twenty-seven temporary shelters opened by the Home Affairs Department in various districts have registered 300 users as at 10.30 pm.
