Hong Kong residents holding bachelor degrees awarded this year by local universities or universities outside Hong Kong are welcome to apply.

About 30 member companies of the HKYIC will accept applications on the spot. They come from different industries and trades, including jewellery, optics, electronics, watches, toys, plastics, textiles, garments and electrical appliances.

The training covers such positions as Human Resources & Administration Assistant, Testing Engineer Trainee, Research & Development Trainee, Technician Trainee, Marketing Trainee, Engineer Trainee, Sales Executive Trainee and Management Trainee, with the monthly salary ranging from $6,000 to $9,000.

The trainees will receive on-the-job training for at least six months at their employers' production plants in Hong Kong or on the Mainland. Those who perform well may keep their positions after completing their training.

The forum will be held at the Exhibition Gallery, Low Block, City Hall, from 2pm to 5.30pm. Admission is free.
