Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 39-year-old man was killed in Ta Kwu Ling this (August 5) afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 4 pm when a staff member of a car park reported to Police that a container truck had crashed into a goods vehicle parked inside the car park and an injured person was lying beside the container truck.

Police arrived at the scene and discovered the injured person has already died.

Initial investigation revealed that the deceased might had been rammed by the container truck, which accidentally slide backward when he was working behind the truck.

Special Investigation Team, Traffic, New Territories North is investigating the case.

Police appeal to the members of the public who might have witnessed the accident is urged to contact the investigation officers on 2675 3386.
