Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 54-year-old man was killed in Tuen Mun this (August 5) evening.

Shortly after 6 pm, the cyclist was reportedly knocked down by a private car at Hoi Wing Road outside Semple Memorial Secondary School.

Sustaining serious head injuries, he was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at about 6.45 pm.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic, New Territories North, are proceeding.
