The latest edition of the Government Yearbook, "Hong Kong 2002", which covers various facets of Hong Kong's activity in the past year, is now available for sale.
The yearbook is an authoritative information source, containing 21 chapters covering a wide range of subjects and more than 120 colour photographs showing different aspects of life and major events in Hong Kong, a Government spokesman said today (August 5).
It also carries a Calendar of Events which recapitulates the most significant activities of 2002 as well as an extensive list of appendices providing detailed information and statistical data on various aspects of the community.
"The Government annual report is a valuable reference source for people from all walks of life, including academics, students and the business sector," the spokesman said.
"Hong Kong 2002" is now available at the Government Publications Centre, Queensway, and leading bookshops in English or Chinese at $106 per copy.
The annual report and many other publications may also be purchased from the online Government Bookstore at http://bookstore.esdlife.com at a special discount of 25 per cent from now until the end of January 2004.
Members of the public may also order the yearbook by:
* calling the Publications Sales Section of the Information Services Department (ISD) at 2537 1910;
* downloading the order form from the ISD website at http://isd.gov.hk and submitting the order online or by fax to 2523 7195;
* placing the order by e-mail at puborder@isd.gov.hk
An interactive CD-ROM comprising both the English and Chinese versions of the new annual report will soon go on sale at $16 per copy, the spokesman added.
