Police today (August 3) appeal to members of the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po last month in which a 74-year-old man was killed and a 54-year-old woman was injured.

At about 4.45pm on July 23, a light goods vehicle was travelling along the second lane of northbound Kweilin Street. When it turned right into eastbound Fuk Wing Street, it reportedly knocked down a 74-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman who were crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.32am on the next day. The woman also suffered head injuries and was admitted in Caritas Medical Centre for medical treatment.
