Update on Lai King hostel case

In response to media enquiries on the influenza-like-illness cases in a Lai King hostel, the Department of Health (DH) confirmed that laboratory tests completed today (July 25) indicated that specimens of eight patients yielded positive results for Influenza A.



Tests conducted so far on all the 18 patients did not show positive results for SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome).  Hong Kong is free from SARS since early June this year.
