A notice concerning the construction of a footbridge system and its modifications along Sham Mong Road is gazetted today (July 25).

The system will include three covered footbridges across Sham Mong Road and a pedestrian circulation tower.

The main modifications involve modification to the works limit for the footbridge outside the Skyway House at Sham Mong Road; shifting of the pedestrian footbridge slightly to the north; and shifting of the footbridge landing outside the Skyway House from southbound to northbound.

Upon completion of the covered footbridge system, a direct and convenient pedestrian circulation network around the Olympic Station and the Tai Kok Tsui hinterland will be provided.

The modification plan of the proposed works is available for inspection at Central and Western District Office; District Lands Office, Kowloon West; and Yau Tsim Mong District Office.
