The second polling day of 2003 Village Representative Elections ended at 7 pm today (July 13).

A total of 84 candidates from 20 villages contested for 45 seats, including 27 Indigenous Inhabitants Representatives (IIR) and 18 Resident Representatives (RR), in the IIR and RR elections.

A total of 5236 out of the 6829 registered voters had cast their votes, representing an overall turnout of 76.67 per cent.
