Twenty patients who were injured in the serious traffic accident in Tuen Mun this (July 10) morning are still being treated in four hospitals. Among them are three persons who are in critical condition. They are two men, aged 32 and 51 respectively, and a woman.
Meanwhile, 14 persons, including seven men and seven women, aged between 24 and 54, are in serious condition. A nine-year-old girl, who is the youngest among the injured, is now in Princess Margaret Hospital and in stable condition. A 25-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man are also in stable condition.
Among the 22 deceased were a 45-year-old man and another man who were certified dead in the Caritas Medical Centre and Princess Margaret Hospital respectively. The identities for the other 20 deceased have yet to be established.
The Home Affairs Department has set up four inter-departmental help desks to provide assistance and answer general public enquiries.

Members of the public are urged to call the police hotline 1878 999 if they have information on the accident.
The Social Welfare Department has also set up a hotline 2892 5202 to provide counselling service and financial support to those affected by the accident.
