A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuen Mun Road near Ting Kau Bridge at about 6.30 am this (July 10) morning. A double-decker bus was involved.

Initial reports said that 14 passengers died and 37 people were injured.

The injured persons were rushed to Yan Chai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital and Caritas Medical Centre for medical treatment.
