Police are investigating a murder in Lok Ma Chau in which a 41-year-old man was shot dead this (June 16) morning.

Shortly after 11.30 am, a staff member of a carpark in Lok Ma Chau Road heard some noises coming out from a container.

A man then ran out from the container and fled towards Lok Ma Chau Road on board a motorcycle shortly afterwards.

The staff member later found that his 41-year-old boss was lying unconscious inside the container and a report was made.

Sustaining head injuries, the victim was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.55 am.

Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are proceeding.
