Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which an 84-year-old man was killed in Yau Ma Tei this morning (June 16).

At about 10.15 am, a light goods vehicle travelling along the southbound carriageway of Ferry Street reportedly knocked down the 84-year-old man who was crossing the road near Saigon Street.

Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at about 10.42 am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
