Police today (June 12) charged two men, aged 28 and 30, for possession of firearm and ammunition without licence.

They were among the three men arrested in Sham Shui Po, Shek Kip Mei and Tsing Yi respectively on June 10 by officers of the Crime Headquarters of Hong Kong Island in connection with the seizure of a pistol, 50 rounds of ammunition and two knives in a residential unit on Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po.

The two men will appear in North Kowloon Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (June 13).

Meanwhile, another 31-year-old man also apprehended during the operation was released on bail at $1,000 and is required to report back to Police on July 11.
