The Immigration Department announced today (May 13) that to enhance the service to the public, apart from the City Hall Marriage Registry, all the other marriage registries will also extend their marriage ceremony service from 1200 hours to 1300 hours on September 6, November 1 & 8 and December 13 & 27, 2003.
The marriage ceremony service in the afternoon of September 6 and November 8, 2003 at the City Hall Marriage Registry, the Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry, the Tsim Sha Tsui Marriage Registry and the Sha Tin Marriage Registry will be extended until 1900 hours on these two days. As a result, a total of 230 appointments will be available on each of these two auspicious Saturdays.
The Immigration Department's spokesman further said that in order to meet the demand of service, the Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry, the Tsim Sha Tsui Marriage Registry and the Sha Tin Marriage Registry will also extend their marriage ceremony service on the two Saturday afternoons on November 1 and December 13, 2003. A total of 174 appointments will be available on each of these Saturdays.
Persons intending to get married on these Saturdays can make an appointment for giving their marriage notice, at the earliest, at 0800 hours on May 23, July 18 & 25, August 30 and September 13, 2003 respectively. For booking through the Internet, the web site is http://marriage.esd.gov.hk. The public can also access the booking service via the 100 Electronic Service Delivery public information kiosks installed at the MTR, KCR stations and other convenient locations.
