A new Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre for residents in North District

Residents in the North District will be provided with a wide range sports, cultural and leisure facilities in the newly-opened Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre from today (November 19).

The new sports centre, the fourth centre managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) in the district, is located on the third floor of a private residential development in Wo Mun Street, Fanling.

A LCSD's spokesman said, "The Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre provides a variety of indoor facilities including one Arena with 12 table tennis tables; one Dance Room; as well as two multi-purpose Activities Rooms."

"In addition, there is a Children's Play Room equipped with specially-designed funny games tools for children."

"Other facilities include a library managed by the LCSD; a cooked food centre and a market; a community hall; a youth centre; and a government office."

The spokesman added that subject to the prevailing procedures, all leisure and recreational programmes as well as facilites in the sports centre can be available for advanced and on-the-spot bookings through the LCSD Leisure Link.

The Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre opens daily from 7 am to 11 pm and will be closed for maintenance and cleaning from 7 am to 3pm on the first and third Monday of each month.
