****************************************************

In celebration of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Home Affairs Bureau will organize a Uniformed Groups Joint Parade under the theme of "Hong Kong, Our Home" at the Mong Kok Stadium on November 24 (Sunday).

The Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, will be the officiating guest of the event.

In a press conference announcing details of the joint parade today (September 28), the Principal Assistant Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Herman Cho, said: "The joint parade, co-organized with 11 uniformed groups (UGs) in Hong Kong, aims at promoting the participation of UG activities through demonstrating to the public the positive image of UG members as well as their team spirit and dedication to serving the community."

The joint parade will be held from 4.30 pm to 6 pm. Programme of the event includes parade, choreography, performances by UG members and fireworks. Famous singers will also participate in singing the theme song "Hong Kong, Our Home".
