The Traffic Police conducted a five-hour anti-car racing and anti-speeding operation along the New Territories bound carriageways of Tsing Kwai Highway which was concluded at 4.30 am today (November 24).
The Task Force of the New Territories South Traffic mounted the operation on the slip road to Tsuen Wan Road and Kwai Chung Road, the slip road to Tsing Yi South Bridge, and a section of Tsing Kwai Highway leading to Rambler Bridge.
During the operation three male drivers were arrested for drink driving while five summonses were issued for speeding and one for careless driving.
Also, 204 fixed penalty tickets were issued for speeding.
The highest speed recorded on Tsing Kwai Highway during the operation was 143 kilometres per hour. The speed limit for the thoroughfare is 80 kilometres per hour.
