The web version of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) Annual Report 2000 has been officially launched today (November 16). Members of the public may browse the LCSD website from home or office for leisure and cultural services provided and related new measures implemented by the Department in the first year of its establishment.

The report comprises seven chapters, i.e. the Director's Message; Performance Pledge; Vision, Mission and Values; Leisure Services; Cultural Services; Administration and Appendices. Focuses are put on the leisure and cultural services; new measures and new facilities; as well as various types of programmes.

Besides, tables and charts on the organisation, finance, capital works projects, recreation facilities, attendance rates... etc are included in the Appendices, giving an overview of the Department's major achievements throughout the year.

In addition, the Photo Gallery Section presents some 100 pictures and captions on the Department's major venues and events.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the website at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/dept/annual2000/eng/index.htm.

Meanwhile, printed version of the Annual Report is available at all public libraries and District Offices for reference by the general public. Complimentary copies are also sent to schools, cultural and recreational organisations and all district councils.
