The following is issued on behalf the Housing Authority:

Application for Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Phase 23A will start tomorrow (May 4). A total of 6 307 new flats in four projects are offered for sale at a discount of 40% off the market value.

The projects on sale are Choi Ming Court at Tseung Kwan O, Yu Chui Court Stage 1 at Sha Tin, Fung Ting Court at Yuen Long and Lai Yan Court at Lai Chi Kok. All four projects situate in good location and are served by convenient transportation networks.

Choi Ming Court is located at the newly developed part of Tseung Kwan O, within walking distance from Tiu Keng Leng Station of the proposed MTR Tseung Kwan O Line. The project consists of six Concord HOS blocks, three Harmony rental blocks and one rental Small Household Block. There are 1 919 HOS flats on offer in HOS 23A. Floor area ranges from 61.2 to 78.6 square metre gross or 47 to 60.4 square metre saleable. The flats are priced from $718,100 to $1,430,700.

Located in Yuen Chau Kok, the eastern part of Sha Tin, Yu Chui Court is close to the proposed City One Station of the Ma On Shan Rail. The project consists of 16 Concord blocks, half of them or 2 158 flats are being sold under Stage 1 in HOS 23A. Floor area ranges from 68.3 to 87.7 square metre gross or 47.9 to 61.6 square metre saleable. The selling price is set at $918,300 to $1,651,200.

Situated in Yuen Long, Fung Ting Court is close to a Light Rail station and within 10 minutes' walking distance from the Yuen Long Station of the proposed West Rail. A total of 311 flats in two Concord blocks with floor area ranging from 61.4 to 79.4 square metre gross or 47.4 to 61.4 square metre saleable are offered for sale in this phase. The selling price is set at $681,100 to $1,233,800.

Lai Yan Court is located at the former Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park site, enjoying green mountain view. It is within about 10 minutes' walking distance from Mei Foo MTR Station. A total of 1 919 flats in three Harmony blocks will be offered for sale under the Mortgage Subsidy Scheme (MSS) in HOS Phase 23A. Floor area ranges from 52.8 to 79.6 square metre gross or 39.8 to 59.9 square metre saleable. The selling price is from $735,700 to $1,584,800.

Mock-up flats of Concord 1 design as well as the Harmony design are available at the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre, near the Lok Fu MTR Station, and are open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. Application forms are available at the Customer Service Centre, all public housing estates, Housing Information Centres and District Offices. The deadline for application is 17 May 2001.
